Everything you need to know about Red Angel Plates

OK, so there is alot of hype about Red Angel plates from a company called JMGlobal.  These stamping plates have some unique images that are really neat, and for a total cost of $16 with shipping I really wanted to try them myself. Because I was new at stamping, I thought it was a good deal for the money.

*note* When i ordered them they were 11.99 and 3.99 shipping. now they are 12.99 and 3.99 shipping, which is still a great deal for these image plates.

To see the full images and purchase them go to the amazon site here > http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005VX8S4G/ref=ox_ya_os_product

The first VERY IMPORTANT fact: these image plates are VERY SHARP! They can cut you. handle them very carefully and just be wary of the fact that they are very sharp.

Second thing: the Fairies do not have wings.  In the original picture on the Amazon site the fairies had wings, but im guessing that a computer messed up and now the fairies do not have wings. here is a photo of my plates and as you can see only 1 of mine does have wings.  On the site now the photo reflects what my images look like - like naked dancing women.  I don't think this is a deal breaker, unless you were buying these plates just for the fairies, but there are so many other awesome images that It didn't matter to me.

Next:  The image plates are very thin.  and because of this they may be warped when stacked next to each other, like the photo below. In my opinion it does not affect the stamping. and depending how you store them it should not matter.

The images are all original in my opinion.  I think only one other plate is a dupe of another, but This is the only full set I own, so I can't comment on that.

The Red Angel plates and Konad plates have similar image size, although a few of the images do look a little smaller than Konad.

Alot of this information has been discovered through discussions in PAA and a stamping group on Facebook, I just wanted to collect it all into one space.   :)

These are the 3 Color Club Holographic polishes I own. I wanted to show the holographic goodness of these polishes for anyone who was debating whether or not they are worth it.  You can find them at the Bed Bath and Beyond stores that have the Harmon Face Values beauty center in them. You can find them on their site because they have a Health and Beauty sign next to them on the site.

Awesome Haul!

Yesterday was an AWESOME day of polish for me. I got the FingerPaint Flakies, a few Kleancolor Chunky Holos and my awesome nail mail that I posted earlier was waiting for me when I got home!

I have been so excited to get these FingerPaint Flakies ever since I saw them on PAA.  They are going to be released in January, but the amazing ladies at my Sally's let me get them early.  It was actually a process to getting them though, They didn't have them at my local store, so the awesome Sally's girl went to another one and signed them out for me and let me buy them. How awesome is that?!

The names are Flashy, Flecked, Motley, Asylum and Twisted.

Flashy is the orange/gold/green flakie (similar to Essie Shine of the Times, Nubar 2010, and Inglot 202)
Flecked is a blue/green flakie with hints of teal. (similar to Inglot 203)
Motley is a deep blue flakie. (similar to Inglot 204)
Asylum has orange/gold/green and deep blue flakies. (I think a dupe may be Deborah Lippman Edge of Glory?)
Twisted has amazing rainbow flakies. (it has been compared to Unicorn Puke and is similar to Ludrana Flocado Arcos-Iris.)

These babies come to life over black!! I absolutely love these.  In the photo they don't look different but they definitely are. I would say though, if you already have 2010 or Essie Shine of the Times, You don't necessarily need Flashy. I just wanted it because I love my SOTT so much I wanted a backup.

They retail for $4.99 with a Sally's card, $5.49 without.  I had a $10 off $20 coupon so I got all 5 of these babies for $16!

Up next I went to a local store calld $1 Fashion.(sounds kinda sketchy right?) just to see what they had, because sometimes stores like this have little hidden jems. I was so surprised when I found these Kleancolors in their stock! They had two small displays of Kleancolors, and Of them 4 were Chunky Holos. I am excited to try these out, although they STINK TO HIGH HEAVEN.  But for awesome nails, I think Im willing to sacrifice.

These are the 4 polishes I got, Chunky Holo Fuchsia, Chunky Holo Purple, Chunky Holo Candy, and Chunky Holo Clover. They were only $1.49 each, which is not bad.  I know there is one place that sells Kleancolor for .99 cents, but they didn't have any chunky holos when I looked.

These four polishes have holographic glitter that shifts color at different angles.

I have to make sure I put on a top coat on because the smell lingers for a while after you put it on.

Have you gotten any recent awesome hauls?

My first Swap Mail!!

This is my first every swap mail!  My first ever swap was with Krissi who I met on PAA!(here is her blog.)  When I posted on PAA that I wanted more holographic polish, Krissi said that she had an extra Revvvolution that she would swap me, so I took her up on her offer! I sent her NYX Girls Polishes, and she sent me Revvvolution and Fashion Addict in return, and a few extra goodies!(even my first Funky Fingers polish!!!)

How awesome is this!!

I <3 everything from my first swap, and I am so excited to have my fist CC holos, and Funky Fingers polish too! I love everything!

Swatches to come. :)

Phantom of the Opera Nails!

Ok, so ALL of my friends know that Phantom of the Opera is my ALL TIME favorite movie. (even my sweet 16 was phantom themed, and my puppy is named Raoul.) And this past summer my awesome boyfriend took me to see it on Broadway! :)

Today I have Phantom of the Opera nails. I thought they were needed since I got my Konad M73 yesterday! I have been dreaming about this manicure ever since I first saw the plate, and it doesn't disappoint. :)

I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White as the base.
Wet N Wild Black Creme as the music stamp and the black accent for the mask.
LA Colors Red Striper for the red rose.
Color Club Perfect Mol-Ten as the stem and leaves of the rose.

I absolutely love this. :) I Don't want to take it off!

New Stamping Plate M73

I would just like to say that my mom is also amazing. :)  She got me this awesome Konad plate, M73!  It is the one with musical notes on it and I am super excited to have this one now, because I have been dreaming about doing a Phantom of the Opera mani, and I am just so excited. :)

Here is the plate:

Here is my first time using the plate, How awesome is this? These are my sisters nails, because I wanted to use the new plate, and didn't want to take off my current polish, so she let me do it on hers. :)

I absolutely love this stamping plate, I don't think I can say that enough.

I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow me White, and stamped on Wet N Wild Black Creme.  Then of course topped it off with Seche Vite.

LOVE IT!

The perfect White and Black

I found my perfect white and black.

My perfect black is Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris which I have used as a base in many of my nail tutorials. It coats in one perfect coat. I absolutely love it. I don't think I have stated how much I love it before, but it is my go-to black. I didn't use it in this post though, I just wanted to share that it is my favorite black.

My new favorite white is a white that I picked up on clearance at Rite Aid for 99 cents and it has not let me down.  My new favorite white, and also the white I have for you in todays Mani is Sinful Colors Snow Me White.  It covers perfectly in two coats(although I need to buff my ridges out. Its that time again lol)

I have found an amazing black to stamp with, Wet N Wild Black Creme.  I had read on a few other blogs that it was good for stamping, and I wanted to try it out myself.  I used an intricate lace stamp design, which I wasn't able to pick up with other colors, to see if this black really was the real deal, and lo and behold IT IS.  Who knew that you didn't have buy an expensive black polish to stamp with when Black Creme is only 99 cents and is amazing?

I will go ahead and show you this really cool mani. Hope you enjoy!

So in this mani I used Sinful Colors Snow me White and Wet N Wild Black Creme as the stamp, with a stamping plate that I got from the set at Rite Aid.

XOX Caitlin

What are you favorite white and black polishes?

Christmas Argyle Print

Sooo I was in the Christmas mood yesterday, and I was excited to get my new Red Angel Plates, but I won't receive them until next week, so I used a stamp that I got in my set from Rite Aid.

I used an argyle print stamping plate, China Glaze Vertical Rush as the red base and Color Club Perfect Mol-Ten as the stamping polish.  I have found that the Color Club foils are the absolute best for stamping.

Sephora 212 by Sephora by OPI

Sorry I have been gone for so long! I got out of school and came home, and have been resting.

Today I have Sephora 212 by Sephora by OPI.  When I first heard of this polish I didn't think I needed it because I already had Orly Foul Play.  But they are very different and I'm glad I own both.  The only real similarity is that they both contain flakies.   Here are a few swatches of 212 to show the difference.

Here are the Orly Swatches:  http://caitlinscreativecorner.blogspot.com/2011/10/orly-foul-play.html

Quick Post: I have the best sister ever.

I have a quick post right now, and it is to state the fact that I have the best sister ever.  She won this polish for me in an auction online bidding all her points, because she knew that I liked the pumpkin polishes so much. How sweet!

It is a pink glittery black light polish.

So just to state this again and so everyone is clear, I have the best sister ever!  :)

(I have OPI DS Reflection on my nails, and I will be doing a post on it soon. :)

Jelly Sammich!

Another Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge!  As I said before it was created by Debbie Crumpet(of The Crumpet) and Claire Gallaugher (of Purple Fairy Dust) in a facebook group!

This week's challenge was to do a Jelly Sandwich.

A Jelly Sandwich is when you paint a layer of a jelly/sheer polish, then paint a layer glitter polish, then another coat of jelly polish.

This is my version of a jelly sandwich!  I used OPI Too Hot Pink to Handle, which is a sorbet from the Texas collection, with a layer of Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy in between, from the Beyond the Mistletoe Collection.

What do you think?
